CANNES, France – Nokia partnered with the Cannes Lions festival this year to host a competition for Young Lions to create one-minute films in 48 hours using the Nokia N8. Young Lions – people under 30, working in the advertising and communications industry – were challenged with coming up with an advert to support Global Angels, a charity for disadvantaged children across the world. Now the results are in and you can see the fruits of the labours below.

The annual Festival is an international gathering of professionals from creative disciplines around marketing and advertising.

The gold medal went to the team behind this piece from the USA Hispanic team, Omar Sotomayor and Gaston Soto:

The silver medal was scooped by the South African team – David Everson and Tamar Retter – for their entry:

Bronze went to the USA entrants, Ben Clare and Alex Romans:
