Live at the Nokia Symbian Belle launch in Hong Kong

Tonight was a launch that surprised few but excited many.

Media leaks in the run up meant that the launch of Symbian Belle and three new devices wasn’t the world’s best kept secret. However that mattered little or nothing when the curtain was raised on the shiny new products.

The new devices clearly captured the imagination of the world’s press and bloggers, but what really stood out, for us at least, was the giant leaps Symbian has made with the new Belle OS. If you thought Symbian^3 was a good stride forward, this is on another level.

We were lucky enough to be in Hong Kong for the launch tonight, and loved every minute of it. If you read our last Hong Kong post, you’ll know we brought some friends along too. Here’s a few of their early pics and videos…

Roman posted the keynote by Nokia’s Colin Giles…

CJ snapped an awesome photo gallery, which gives a nice insight into how things looked on the night.

Meanwhile Jade got a video of the Symbian Belle demo (on Nokia 700 and Nokia 701), which is well worth a look…

We were of course twitpic’ing throughout the evening too at #NokiaTSN. More Hong Kong stuff on the way in the coming days, so keep an eye on #NokiaTSN!
