Firstly, by way of showing you a contest winner from just last year, this photo was taken on a Nokia N95. It’s actually kind of cool, given that it was clearly taken in full dark. Quite atmospheric, actually.

But we’ve come a long way since January 2010. Take this tree for example. Different light, different hemisphere, different Nokia. Snapped in Australia, this Boot Tree is a fine Aussie alternative to the regular fir tree that drops pine needles all over the place 🙂

Let’s move away from trees and festive cheer now, and go to the beach, why not? What’s better at the end of the day but to sit and quietly watch the sun go down? We cannot confirm whether there was a cool drink nearby when this photo was snapped, but there should have been!
