'E' that's a great business phone

Some of use our phones for staying in touch with myriad social platforms, some for gaming, some for calling their Mum – but a lot of people use their phones to keep up with (or even run) their businesses, so which phones are for them?

Starting with the most obvious, the newest ‘business’ phone, the E7. Now notice I put the word business in quotes. That’s because I’d quite like to have an E7, and I don’t use my phone for business. So maybe – to steal a genre from the car industry – the E7 is more of a crossover. Well, that’s to be discussed (thoughts in the comments please), but for now let’s see what people are saying about it.

As an opener, how about an unboxing and review from one of the younger reviewers I’ve featured on these pages. I didn’t catch his name, but he does a great job at presenting the E7 on the TechSwipe channel:

For a more succinct list of what the E7 has to offer specs-wise, Vibi Krishnan has a ‘List of 9’ on the TechKnowBits pages.

The Nokia E7 has, in the past, been referred to as ‘the ultimate business smartphone’ and indeed a comparison with the Blackberry Torch 9800 *almost* tempts a died-in-the-wool ‘Blackberry guy’ away from his favourite phone.

As an alternative, the Nokia E6 has a more business-like look (well, what most people would expect a business phone to look like) and is fully compatible with a regular mouse (thanks to USB on the go). For a look at the hardware (if you understand the Portuguese voiceover, so much the better!) this vid from Guia Das Technologias shows the E6 in all its glory.

So what are your experiences with the Nokia E7 and E6? Have you used it to run your business? How do you think it would compare to a new Nokia Lumia when it comes to editing documents etc.? Let us know below, or drop us your thoughts @Nokia_Connects
