Time for your Lumia 800 to update! The second round of software updates from Nokia will be available in the next few weeks so read on to make sure you know what is headed your way….

The up and coming update is designed to enhance your experience with the phone even more. Once installed on the Lumia 800 it will advance the software to version 1600.2483.8106.11500.

There are two key areas that the update focuses on:

  • Battery enhancements
  • Wi-Fi enhancements

If the update is not currently available on your phone then don’t worry. It will not be available on all phones at the same time, but over the next few weeks you will notice the update is rolled out to your handset. Each Lumia 800 will regularly check for updates so be sure to keep an eye out for a message prompting you to update.

Once you’ve received the update message, attach your phone to your computer using the USB cable. In Zune, from the Applications section, go to ‘phone settings > phone update’ to install the new software. On a Mac, click on the device name in the left-hand pane and then on ‘Install update’. There are more detailed instructions on the product support pages, if you need them.

Just like previous updates, you will be able to download and install them with Microsoft Zune orWindows Phone 7 Connector (if you have a Mac). Stayed tuned for your update.
