Ai Se Eu Te Pego – Michel Telo

A tuneful masterclass from Michel Telo who adds his spice and grandeur to this worldwide tune that makes any crowd jump and dive.

At my Latin American night in Archway, London, dropping this early in the night makes people break into bouncing bubbles of salsa, along with rapid outbursts of ‘hoyyyy’! Can 131 million visitors to his live performance on YouTube be wrong?

Nickelback – Here we stand together

Echoing from fields of rye on top of a mountain, this song resonates with a message felt the world over. Here We Stand Together brings together a collection of pictures from world events in 2011. The video highlights how people the world over are united in their efforts, striving for a better future.

Guitars fold neatly over the drum loop, as Chad Kroeger’s voice simmers with earthy tones, he brings an eloquence rarely found in a pop-rock outfit. This song certainly deserves your attention.

Hamskia – Chammak Challo

Chammak Cello cuts a dash as a classy suited and booted lad, back in the Indian Top 5. Borrowing elements of R’n’B, Hamskia dazzles with Bollywood charm as it sizzles with beat-driven fury.

Using a synthesiser to create a surging electro sound behind his voice, Challo has a brilliant way of combining western and Indian influences. In true Bollywood style, bright colourful costumes abound in this video that has seen over 5 million hits.

Antonella Lo Coco – Cuore Scoppiato

A soft, easy to breath pop dance track that has revived the 2012 Italian club scene. Airy, consumable vocals from Antonella prance delicately over a bouncing rhythm, reminiscent of Robyn, but with a twist.

This tune means midnight at my club nights, and eases revellers into the early hours. Ensure you download this from the Nokia Music Store, as it is sure to go viral across the web.

Flo Rida ft. Sia – Wild Ones

Top in the Australian Charts this week is Flo Rida featuring Sia with Wild Ones. Sia’s voice samples at the beginning of the track, asking for trouble from Rida, who produces a proper club bouncer. Wild Ones is a sharp tune, that builds up to a proper electro drop that gets any dance floor hungering after some base.

A sophisticated club tune, that adds a crashing piano over a dance beat that never fails to get people bopping. Make sure you grab this cracker from the Nokia Store now.

Remix of the Week

Yelle – Que Veux-Tu (Madeon Remix)

In this classic remix from France-based producer Madeon, a thumping rhythm cascades over the top of some sexy vocals from Yelle, a French outfit headed by front lady Julie Budet. This is perfect springtime music, set to feature in some late night house parties all around Europe.

I drop this right after a bit of classic 90’s house, and it never fails to wow. Madeon is set for a rip-roaring year in 2012, remixing for some of the top artists of the last 2 years, Deadmau5 and Pendulum to name a few, he somehow manages to make every song he touches glimmer with electro.
