Nokia Lumia 710 – 'positive steps to reach a positive conclusion'

Here at Nokia Connects there’s nothing I like better than to bring you all the very latest videos and reviews, and today’s thoughts on the Nokia Lumia 710 are some of the freshest I’ve ever seen.

Deaconcgli (a.k.a. MrNokiaTech) has started what he promises to be an ongoing series of videos covering the Nokia Lumia 710. A good place to start – the unboxing:

It feels ‘very premium in the hand’ despite being made of plastic, he prefers the physical button bar to capacitive buttons, and he thinks there is a ‘great screen…[and]..great build quality’.

Andrew Orlowski
, meanwhile, has been using the Nokia Lumia 710 as his main phone for a while, and actually prefers it to the ‘much-hyped’ Lumia 800. He shares his thoughts over at Reg Hardware in a ‘four-pager’.

He finds a few things that he thinks need improvement – namely battery life (he contends that the OS is the ‘worst power-guzzler’ of the three main contenders) and app availability (but notes the Windows Marketplace is ‘expanding rapidly’). So why does he prefer it over the Lumia 800? ‘Traditional Nokia strengths’ such as superior call quality and ‘impressive performance’ – and he contends it is just nicer to hold in the hand.

What do you think of the Lumia 710? Would you prefer it over the Lumia 800? Leave us a comment letting us know, or drop us a line @Nokia_Connects.
