Welcome back! It’s Sunday, the day Nokia Connects sits down to discuss what you like, prefer and use on your mobile phones. Today we’re going to explore the realms of size.

What’s your ideal screen size?

These days we are spoiled for choice when it comes to picking a new phone. You can get all sorts of things for your money, be it small and slim, chunky and full of buttons or sporting a massive screen. Today we are going to focus on just that, screen size. I want to know what you think is optimal and what sizes you’d like to see in the future.

A good example of what we are talking about would be the N9, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900. All of these phones have an almost identical form-factor save for a few slight differences. Of course, we’ll be focusing on size differences before anything else. Size wise, the main thing you’ll notice is the display.

The Lumia 800 has the smallest of 3.7″, the N9 in between with 3.9″ and the Lumia 900 being the largest sporting 4.3″. The difference between the N9 and Lumia 800 is quite small but still noticeable, on the one hand you get slightly more room for your viewing pleasure with the N9 but the Lumia has handy capacitive back, home and search keys.

When looking at the Lumia 900 however, it’s a different story. Although it doesn’t sound like much, the Lumia 900’s larger screen is very noticeable. This also changes the way the phone feels in your hand and gives you even more room to play around with (obviously).

This is all very well, and you’d expect a bigger screen to be more popular for everyone, right? Well… not really, I’ve seen people on Twitter stating they absolutely need a 4″+ to even consider buying a phone and others who think anything above 4″ is too large or unnecessary.

I guess it is natural for people with larger or smaller hands to opt for a screen that suits them, but I find most people are pretty adaptable when it comes to phones. So assuming you are adaptable or have medium sized hands… what side of the fence are you on with regards to screen size and why? How large is too large and what are your bare minimum screen size requirements?
