Nokia 808 PureView: reactions from #MWC12

Barely minutes into Mobile World Congress 2012, and the space is  already buzzing with reactions to the new Nokia product launches. Here on Nokia Connects, we thought it would fun to see what people are saying about the unveiling of the groundbreaking Nokia 808 PureView.

The amazing 41 megapixel camera on the Nokia 808 has certainly created waves around the world, particularly the ability to see the “story within the story” – truly a revolution in mobile imaging. But don’t take my word for it; see what other people are saying!

Sitaram and Swapnil certainly sum up the consensus of people on the ground, who have been blown away by the Nokia 808’s imaging capabilities. Ali Al-Qudsi calls it “crazy image quality” and praises its “perfect pixelwidth” and “perfect zoom”.

calls it “the mother of all cameraphones” in his hands-on review for Engadget, and praises its “incredibly advanced” technology.

As well as being impressed with the PureView’s high-end camera, Arun is so excited about the phone’s sound quality and satellite capabilities that he says the “world is ending!”

Jason Goh shares with us a picture of him holding the Nokia 808 PureView for the first time and “checking out” its features, as well as tweeting about the phone’s “CD like audio recording” and “surround sound”.

And finally, James Burland sums up the sentiment of all when he says that he’s “still processing the idea of a 41mp phone”.

What are your reactions to the announcement of the Nokia 808 PureView? How do you find the 41 megapixel camera and surround Dolby digital sound? Let us know @Nokia_Connects using the hashtags #Nokia808 #PureView and #MWC12!
