Here on Nokia Connects, we’ve already shared with you the initial reactions around the globe to the launch of the new Asha handsets – now we bring you 5 cool facts you might not know about this sleek and elegant phones:
1. Same design, different story
The Nokia Asha 202 and Asha 203 are essentially the same handset, except that the 203 is dual-SIM enabled and has a longer standby time. This means that although these phones may look similar on the outside, they can be put to very different uses. The 202 is intended to be a personal device for the young hyper-social individual, whereas the 203’s dual-SIM technology and longer standby time makes it more of a multifunctional device – perfect for someone juggling work and personal life, or even for a family to share among them.
2. Touch & Connect
The combination of touch and type on the Nokia Asha 202 and 203 models make these phones both simple and fun to use. The Nokia Browser provides faster, easier and more accessible internet than ever before and lets you connect with your friends and family at the click of a button!
The Asha 202 and 203 also come with an amazing gift of 40 EA games – yes, 40! – including Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run, Monopoly Here & Now, SimCity Deluxe and more. Now you can play all your favourite games direct on your handset, and for free!
The Nokia Asha 302 is more of a business-minded handset with a full QWERTY keyboard for those who need to stay connected on the go. The 302 is also the first Series 40 phone to support Mail for Exchange and comes with the popular Push Email services, as well as one-click access to email, chat and social networks. Not only that, but it posts live updates and message alerts directly on your homescreen – so you’ll never lose touch again!
The evolution of Nokia Life Tools will bring life-enhancing information to people across the world on its Series 30 and Series 40 devices. Nokia Life delivers content in the areas of parenting, life skills, education, health, entertainment and agriculture. For example, Nokia Life can help parents focus on children’s physical, emotional and social growth needs, from birth to adolescence. People can also learn English using basic SMS communications, and enjoy ringtones, sport news and trivia.
“Nokia Life services provide an entry to the world of digital content and an internet-like experience for many people who don’t yet have access to data plans” said Dieter May, Nokia’s senior vice president of Mobile Phone Services. “With today’s news, we’re enhancing our services to bring consumers an even more enjoyable experience on the new Asha phones, with content that matters to them in their daily lives, is fun and helps them progress.”
Together, the Nokia Asha 202, 203 and 302 will help connect more and more people across the world, empowering those in developing countries by providing them with all the tools they need, in the palm of their hand.
