Nokia Lumia 800 – 'you had me at gorgeous'

Cheeky, I know, but I just had to steal that headline from Gizmodo Australia – after all, it sums up the review perfectly, and if nothing else here at Nokia Connects, we like to be concise and to the point.

Alex Kidman has spent some time with the Nokia Lumia 800 (recently landed in Australia) and his thoughts are well organised and definitely worth a read.

• gorgeous visual style of the Nokia N9
• some genuinely impressive applications
• an elegant simplicity to Windows Phone 7 that works well with this hardware

It’s interesting to note then that Alex won’t be persuaded to jump over to a Nokia Lumia 800 just yet. In the lively comment stream, however, pimento says ‘I got my Lumia 800 last week and I’m thoroughly enjoying using it’ and MotorMouth (as an aside) comments ‘I just had a good play with my mate’s new Lumia 710 this morning and I have to say that I am really impressed with it’. All round a pretty good reception in Australia for the Lumia family then.
