Hövding Invisible Bicycle Helmet

Bicycle helmets can be annoying, but they are a necessity to keep you safe while you ride your bike around town. The Hövding Invisible Helmet is a new device designed by Swedish designers Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin, created in response to the number of people in Sweden who rides bicycles without helmets. It works much like a car air-bag: users wear it around their neck and upon impact, the device inflates and protects them from hurting themselves. Read this great interview with the designers and check out some of the pictures of the device!
