Here at Nokia Connects, we talk a lot of crowd-funding (and Kickstarter), and this article sheds light on the reason why: in the past year alone, crowd-funding platforms have raised over $1.5 billion in funds, and helped start more than 1 million campaigns. And now that the JOBS Act will be passed, crowd-funding will officially be legalized for startups, meaning that anyone can help fund your startup.
