The Plug-In Hybrid Of Your Dreams: Porsche 918 Spyder Supercar Photos Revealed

The days of the “slow” electric vehicle are over. For those who want to give up on gas but not on speed soon will have nothing to worry about. Tesla Motors has been around for several years now, and it effectively turned the electric car category upside down; but Tesla is still a relatively new brand. But now, Porsche has just gotten into the game with is plug in hybrid 918 Spyder. At 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph, this car will leave most gas-powered vehicles in the dust. And with a fuel economy of 78 mpg, it can be good for the environment too. And though the car, fresh out the concept stage, retails at $850,000, we think this is a positive step in the plug in/hybrid/electric direction. Here at Nokia Connects, we’d all agree that we’d love to get behind the wheel of one of these babies. Check out this footage of the car when it was still in the concept stage and let us know your thoughts!
