There’s more to a font than meets the eye, and doubly so with Nokia Pure.
It is only after exhaustive research into how scripts look when written, and how this translates to a mobile font that the team came up with ‘a clean, simple, and yes, pure aesthetic that is conceived to work on mobile devices in virtually any script, whether Latin, Devanagari, or Tamil’. Not content with simply developing a font that looks good, the team at Nokia had to make sure it looked good all over the world, in whatever language it was being read in.

It is this level of commitment to detail that recently won the Pure font the Design Museum’s Graphic Design of the Year Award. A fitting reward for the Purists.
