magic in covent garden

A series of recent videos on the Nokia YouTube channel have highlighted some of the – dare we say – magical abilities of the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone in London’s Covent Garden.

Inviting members of the public to perform everyday tasks on their own phone as quickly as he can on a Lumia, magician Marco Tempest shows how our smartphone range can outsmart the competition.

In the first video, he challenges an iPhone owner to find a nearby local deal.

In number two, he shows the fastest route to the latest football scores. (We really like the magic trick in this one, by the way).

The third video demonstrates the place-finding capabilities of a Lumia compared to an iPhone 4.

The Nokia Lumia 800 goes head-to-head with another iPhone, as Marco shows how easy it is to get turn-by-turn directions on the phone.

And in the fifth and final challenge, just how simple is it to check into FourSquare using a Lumia compared to a Blackberry Curve?

So Lumia owners, what are the tricks you share with your friends when you’re talking about your smartphone’s smarts?
