App Report – #MusicWeek edition



Another Saturday look at what’s what in the world of apps this week – and as #MusicWeek wraps up, it’s all with an eye on the musical side of things.

For a deeper look at the whole Nokia Music package, Dlectronics has shared a video guide on the Nokia Lumia 800 – it includes how to download the current song, recommends tunes that are like the one playing, and local gigs (with times and distances from your current location). The ‘great addition’ of Mix Radio is highlighted (as is the fact that it’s free), so have a watch:

For a great list of apps that are music related, look no further than the guys from AllAboutWindowsPhone. They have an awesome page full of musical apps and games, and you can even sort by which are free and which are paid (a similar page at sister site AllAboutSymbian is in the works, so look out for that). This is a new find for me, and one I’ll definitely be using in the future.

Finally, saving the best for last, Matt Oglesby produced this ‘Metro’ tune on his Nokia Lumia 800 by using only free apps found in the Marketplace. Some people can just see these things are possible. I am not one of these people. Fortunately for us, Matt is:
