This week our focus falls on guitar heroes The Vaccines, who teamed up with Nokia previously for a Nokia Summer Sessions version of their anthem ‘Wetsuit’. Since then the band have gone from strength to strength and are set to tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers this summer along with a host of festival appearances and a support slot on The Stone Roses’ comeback gig.
The Vaccines have risen meteorically in the indie scene, with recommendations from luminaries such as Zane Lowe, Alex Kapranos and Marcus Mumford. Their debut album – cunningly-titled ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ – was met with acclaim, and they even appeared on The David Letterman show. Their second, scheduled for September, has the equally amusing title of ‘The Vaccines Come Of Age’
