Nokia Max Office_s_2

If you’re bored at work then you’re not doing it right. We get bored at work when there’s nothing to do or we don’t have the tools to keep up a solid workflow. Here’s where the Nokia Lumia 625 can come into play, armed with our favourite work apps to keep us movin’ and shakin’.

Office

Office

Microsoft’s Office app is truly the king of workflow. You can create and edit in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and SharePoint. You can pin your projects onto your start screen too so you’re always close to what you need too.

PDF Reader

PDF Reader

Every good work phone needs a PDF Reader and the one available for the Nokia Lumia 625 is fantastic. Operation is smooth and slick through the metro UI, and so all of your PDF needs are answered.

PayPal

Perhaps not an essential for everybody while they’re working but let’s face it, with this pinned to your start screen you’ll always have a big smile on your face when your notifications say money has just been paid in!

Lync 2013

 Lync 2013

Lync is totally essential for joining and sharing in conferences. “Lync 2013 for Windows Phone extends the power of Lync to your mobile device – including voice & video over wireless, rich presence, instant messaging, conferencing, and calling features from a single, easy-to-use interface“.

Splashtop Personal

 Splashtop Personal

This is a really cool app that lets you remotely access your PC or Mac from your Nokia Lumia. If you’re out on business but need to quickly grab a file or play a video that’s on your other machine, this lets you.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn

Where would we be without LinkedIn when we’re working? LinkedIn is the best place to network with your business associates, prospective clients or employees. With the app you can track your recommended jobs, companies and groups as well as the latest industry news.

While these are some of our favourite work apps, we understand that everybody’s careers have their own needs. If you’re a professional photographer or athlete for example, you may have a completely different set to suit.

What apps do you use at work? Share your top ones in the comments section below or reach out on Twitter. Even better, make a work app list on App Social and share it!
