Set in a dangerously carved out underground mine, your aim is to help navigate an adventurer through the treacherous caverns riding the rails in a mining cart.

On your journey you must reach out and grab as many precious stones as you can. Gather gold nuggets, recover rock eggs and assorted gems to accumulate a wealth that will not only win you points but also make it possible to purchase items from the in-game store.

The items available make the gameplay easier in some ways, such as magnets to collect nuggets and battering rams to clear the tracks. Oh, and don’t forget the TNT!

If you’ve played for hours on end and you feel like a character change, you can buy a new hero, too – there are 12 to choose from.

The controls couldn’t be simpler. To make the cart lean left or right, simply tilt your Lumia left or right, too.

You’ll need to jump from one track to another fairly frequently, and swiping your finger on screen to the left or right makes that happen.

When you’re not switching tracks, you’ll almost certainly be jumping up or crouching down – as you will see, the tracks in the deep recesses of the mine have not been well maintained, and there are a lot of objects in your way. Happily, a simple swipe up or down will have you dodging any obstruction in quick time.

The more riches you collect and the longer you manage to stay on the rails, the faster your mining cart rolls, making Rail Rush a fast-paced and addictive game.
