Dragons Adventure is a first-of-its-kind mobile game that transforms the family drive into a magical adventure, and it’s available exclusively for the Nokia Lumia 2520 starting today.
Based on the award-winning 3D animated film How to Train Your Dragon, DreamWorks Dragons Adventure combines real and virtual worlds using HERE platform.
The game transforms actual roadways, lakes and landmarks along a drive into the fictional Isle of Berk. But that is just the beginning. When the weather outside changes and it starts to rain for example, it also rains within the game.
Held up in traffic? The going also gets tough in the game, with mud that slows you down.
The game is designed for and comes preloaded on the new Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet, yet there’s also a companion app available for Lumia smartphones that invites others to join in and share the experience.
These other players become Quest Masters that create missions, change the action and add new challenges that enhance the adventure. It’s a great way to get parents involved in the game with their kids.
Roadtrips and the everyday commute will never be the same with Dragons Adventure!
Unveiled at DreamWorks Animation studios
Earlier this week, select press were able to experience Dragons Adventure first hand and get a behind the scenes look at how the teams at DreamWorks Animation and Nokia collaborated to bring this innovative mobile experience to life.
As part of the event, guests were invited to see a Driving Quest from the game come to life on a guided bus tour. Roadways, select buildings and even the LA river transformed before their eyes into the game on the Nokia Lumia 2520.
