Roll out the red carpet and whip up a fresh batch of popcorn! We have an exclusive app premiere for Nokia Lumia users in the United States.

Lumia owners can download Redbox Instant by Verizon from the Nokia Collection in the Windows Phone Store today. After 60 days, the app will become available to all Windows Phone 8 users nationwide.

“As mobile phones transform into entertainment hubs for consumers, we want to ensure they have instant access to a great selection of movies,” said Shawn Strickland, CEO of Redbox Instant by Verizon.

If you haven’t tried it yet, a subscription to Redbox Instant by Verizon offers a free month of movies when you sign up; and your subscription includes unlimited streaming hit movies right on your Lumia phone, as well as four DVD rental nights using their kiosk system.

Within the app you can quickly search for and reserve the latest movie releases available at any Redbox kiosk across the country.

“Apps come to life on Windows Phone thanks to features like Live Tiles,” said Todd Brix, general manager, Windows Apps and Store, Microsoft Corp. “Redbox Instant by Verizon takes advantage of these features to enable users to enjoy their favorite movies on the go.”

The subscription to Redbox Instant by Verizon is only $8 per month, and a Blu-ray package can be added for $1 more.

With Redbox Instant by Verizon on your Lumia, anytime can be movie time.
