Nimbuzz Messenger on Nokia Asha 501

Nimbuzz Messenger is the perfect app if you’re on a limited contract or like to chat or call to people in different countries, and it’s now available for the Nokia Asha 501.

Nimbuzz supports instant messaging, and it’s easy to keep track of conversations, with threads looking just like regular text messages.

You can add images and emoticons to your instant messages, and because it all works over your data connection, you save on SMS text charges.

The app itself looks great, and couldn’t be easier to use. There are tabs along the bottom, letting you pick friends you want to talk to, switch between active chats, a numeric keypad for dialing, and options to give access to group chats, N-World and a lot more. Simply tap the + button at the top of the page add more friends in your contact list.

Avatars show up alongside the names of your friends and family, and small icons on the right, show you who’s online, who’s away and who’s offline.

With Facebook and GoogleTalk integration, you can even connect with your friends on your other social networking accounts, with Nimbuzz providing a one-stop solution.

Because the Nokia Asha 501 has Wi-Fi, you’ll even be able to join wireless networks where possible, resulting in low cost calls to your friends and family.

Now you can make VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls using Nimbuzz, when you’re connected to WiFi. To take advantage of low cost VOIP calls though, you need to purchase Nimbuzzout credits.

Following the recent software update, Nimbuzz is available to download on your Nokia Asha 501 now.The app will also be available for Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503.
