Little details I’m loving #1

Each and every Nokia phone has been crafted to a high level of precision. You might not notice the design intricacy. It’s usually subtle…

Which is why today, we’re launching a new series that takes a closer look at Nokia phones to discover, and highlight, some of the finer details we may simply take for granted.

To kick off, our gaze is focused on the Nokia Asha 502 and its crystal-clear shell.

The Nokia Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503 all feature this transparent layer, which compliments a base hue. This translucent-colour combo creates a jewel-like finish that brings the device alive.

Get the right light and Asha glows, as you can see from our shots (click on each for the hi-res), taken with the detailed lens of the Nokia Lumia 1020.

When light hits the cover, it’s dispersed across the rest of the phone, highlighting other features that simply fade from view in darker environments, such as light escaping around the volume keys. The result is a glowing, almost neon-like effect that makes the Asha sparkle.

That’s just one little reason why we love the Nokia Asha 502.

What do you think? What are your favourite details on this, or any, Nokia phone? Share your thoughts, below.
