Breaking apps news from MWC 2014
The new Nokia X family, Nokia Asha 230 and Nokia 220 have given us plenty to get excited about, but things are equally thrilling in the app world.
Nokia’s X software platform has opened up an abundance of opportunity for developers and fun for Nokia X owners alike. Then there’s the continuing development for Nokia Asha and Nokia Lumia, which is seeing some great apps materialise in their respective stores.
From photography and social to music and sports, let’s take a look at the Nokia app highlights from MWC 2014.
Adobe Photoshop Express
Coming soon for: Nokia Lumia
Editing images is part of the fun when taking photos on your smartphone. Nokia Creative Studio is a great starting point, but if you’re used to the advanced features of Adobe’s desktop image-editing software, Adobe Photoshop Express will be very familiar.
Already available on Windows 8, this mobile, touch-screen version brings it to Windows Phone 8 to create a more seamless multi-screen experience.
BBM
For: Nokia X and Nokia Lumia
Got a bunch of friends using BBM? Now you can send them instant messages, pictures, documents, voice notes, emoticons and more. You can even create a group of all your pals to make sure everyone’s included when planning nights out. BBM will be available on Nokia X at launch and will be coming to Nokia Lumia late Spring 2014.
Foodpanda
Coming soon for: Nokia X, Nokia Lumia and Nokia Asha
Finding food has never been easier. Explore and find local restaurant menus, view special deals and order straight from your mobile phone. The app is in-tune with local flavors in India, Russia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, Brazil and Mexico.
Jusp
Coming soon for: Nokia Lumia
For merchants, Jusp is the first and only app that allows credit/debit card payments through smartphones, tablets and on Windows PCs, meaning payments can be accepted across a range of devices.
LINE
For: Nokia X
From today Nokia X owners can enjoy the delights of LINE Free Voice and Messaging, with LINE Camera and LINE Bubble games application appearing in early March 2014. Additional features and the sticker store (including commemorative Nokia stickers) will soon be available for Lumia and Nokia X.
Path
Update for: Nokia Lumia
Life is a journey with lots of moments to remember, so let Path record it as your personal journal. Note down your thoughts, integrate your photos and share with friends and family with the exclusive ‘inner circle’ feature. Also features exclusive imaging features for Nokia Lumia.
PayPal
For: coming soon to Nokia X
A simple way to transfer money, pay for goods and get paid, without sharing your bank details. Sending money to people has never been easier, or safer. Available already on Windows Phone and Asha, coming to Nokia X soon.
Plants V Zombies 2

Just as addictive as Plants V Zombies 1, only better. Grow your army of super-powerful plants and have it destroy the nasty zombies.
Spotify
Update for: Nokia Lumia
Spotify’s latest update brings Radio, Browse and Discover features to Windows Phone 8. A brand-new interface design and the much-anticipated Spotify Free for mobile is also on its way in the coming months.
THE Football App
Update for: Nokia Lumia
Football is about emotions. About cheering your team on, celebrating the victories and suffering when they go through hard times. THE Football App brings all these emotions to the palm of your hands. Covering more than 100 international football leagues and competitions, you can follow your team wherever you are, whenever you want. You’ll also find breaking news, videos, tables and statistics within the app. Update for Windows Phone 8 available today.

You know the score: follow your friends, celebrities (and us @nokconv), connecting via 140-character missives. Comes pre-loaded on Nokia X and the new entry-level Nokia phones, and is already available for Nokia Lumia.
Viber
For: Nokia X. Coming soon for: Nokia Asha
Share instant messages, photos, videos, stickers, doodles and your location to your nearest and dearest around the world – for free! Or communicate via the innovative Push-To-Talk feature. The app is already available for Nokia Lumia, will be preloaded on Nokia X devices and is coming soon for Nokia Asha.
Vine
Coming soon for: Nokia X
Get creative and make short, looping videos to share with the world via Twitter and Facebook. Tag your videos with #VineOnNokia. Vine is already available on Windows Phone devices, and is coming to Nokia X devices soon.
