It’s official: Nokia will be hanging out in Austin, Texas over the next two weeks for the 2014 SXSW conference: North America’s biggest film, interactive, and music festival. We have the full lineup of where we’ll be and what we’ll be doing, so if you’re in the area, be sure to come say hello and spend the week with us in the Lonestar State.

Nokia, DVLUP, and MixRadio will all be hosting some special events throughout the week, with Nokia and DVLUP present during the Interactive week and MixRadio hanging with some artists during the Music Week. Whether you’re a developer, music fan, or just want to see what team Nokia is up to, we have something for everyone to tag along to and enjoy.

Go skin-deep with DVLUP

DVLUP has put together three events spread over three days for you to enjoy. From the Unofficial Mobile Meetup at a pub with over 50 beers on tap to a temporary tattoo booth for those that really want to show their DVLUP support, and finally a weekend-long social scavenger hunt with some awesome prizes, there is an event for everyone, and not only exclusive to developers.

Unofficial Mobile Meetup

Show your commitment to DVLUP by going skin-deep… with a temporary tattoo! We’ll be stationed at SXSW Create with our own temporary tattoo parlor with many different varieties of tats to choose from.

#Commit2DVLUP Scavenger Hunt
We know that DVLUPers like challenges and rewards, so we’ve put together the ultimate challenge and reward for you — a social SXSW Scavenger Hunt! Basically, they’ve put together a list of items for you to “hunt” down via Twitter for a chance to win some great prizes.

Dance the week away with Nokia MixRadio

For all the music fans out there, Nokia MixRadio has some seriously fun events and interactions planned for you during SXSW Music Week. MixRadio will be on the streets with the MixRadio Musicologist who can diagnose your perfect music playlist based on your musical taste, as well as a dance competition with Ike, the MixRadio mascot. If you participate with either of these, you’ll be entered to win either a Lumia 2520, Lumia Icon, or some other goodies. Catch them around the conference March 13 – March 15.

MixRadio will also be hosting some great parties, with plenty of bands rotating throughout the week, at Red 7 with Brooklyn Vegan and Stubb’s with SPIN. If you want to get in on the action a bit early, come to brunch at Stubb’s on March 14 at 11am and follow MixRadio North America on Twitter for updates throughout the week.

Ride on with Nokia

We’ll be present with all the movers and shakers there for the Interactive Week of SXSW. We’re stationed at the SXSW Create space along with Bike Hugger and Tern Bicycles for an interactive ‘bike boutique’, and sponsoring the SXSW Mobile Social Ride consisting of 4,000 riders. Come visit us at our booth to participate in our contest. We’ll be allocating 5 Tern bikes for attendees to use throughout the week.

Come catch Peter Skillman, Head of Design for HERE, in his talk Design for Drivers: The Optimal Connected Car. He will be discussing why in-car interfaces have not ignited much emotion from their owners – though many of us are attached to electronic devices such as mobile phones – and how better design offers the key to unlocking your feelings for these systems as they become connected to the Internet.
