Meet the Thomson Reuters Foundation-Nokia Photo Award finalists
Today is International Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate than by showcasing some amazing photos of women’s empowerment around the world.
If this theme sounds familiar it’s because last December we launched an International photo competition in conjunction with The Thomson Reuters Foundation. The brief was simple to show us examples of women working to make a difference, whether through acts of leadership, courage and passion or by promoting opportunity, innovation and motherhood. These themes were limited only by your imagination and boy did you deliver.
There were over 400 entries from dozens of countries. Alas, there can be only one winner, and that winner will come from these 10 fantastic finalists, who each have until March 26th to create a photographic portfolio using the Nokia Lumia 1020. But before that, feast your eyes on the photos, which got them this far.
