Be more sociable, with the improved Fastlane

Amongst other things, the recently rolled out Nokia Asha software update made it easier and faster to stay in contact with your friends on your social networks.

When you’ve connected your Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502, Asha 503 or Asha 230 to your Twitter and Facebook accounts, Fastlane shows you more of the things that matter.

Regardless of how hard we try, we’re all guilty of occasionally forgetting our friends’ birthdays.

With tighter integration into Fastlane, your Facebook friends’ birthdays are now shown without you even needing to go into the Facebook app.

Instead, you can see at a glance if you need to buy a birthday card, or even just pass on your well wishes the next time you see them.

When you upload photos or update your status to Facebook, any likes you receive will now be shown right within Fastlane.

The same can be said about Twitter. Send out a 140-character update to all of your followers, and you now no longer need to go back into the app to see any re-tweets or favourites, they’re automatically delivered into your Fastlane.

Tapping on any of these notifications within Fastlane will automatically launch the relevant app, making staying in contact with your friends much faster.
