What’s that? WhatsApp on your Lumia!

Now, there’s no excuse not to experience mobile-messaging and more at its finest.

INPOSTWhatsApp

The super-popular chat app is as easy as pie to use, lets you leave voice messages with your friends — whether they’re around the corner or around the world — and has nifty features such as GPS location on an interactive map, background customization, and the ability to quickly and intuitively send group messages.

Of course, WhatsApp can send lots more than just plain text and leave voice messages. Want to share a photo, video or short audio clip of you singing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”? You can do that without ever leaving the app! Oh, and don’t forget emoji – eye-popping emoticons that inject extra fun into your messages.

Rather than eating into your bundled texts, WhatsApp saves you money on text charges by using your data connection (3G, LTE or Wi-Fi) to send messages. And the app will automatically find other WhatsApp users in your contact book, meaning there’s no need for friend requests.

Setup on Lumia is easy. All that’s needed is your mobile phone number and you’re good to go. WhatsApp is free for the first 12 months and then a yearly subscription of $0.99 every year thereafter.

Do you WhatsApp? What are your favorite things about it? Any tips for the community?
