Productivity hacks: the perspective-providing weekly review

Spending more time fighting fires than the work you planned to do? Did you plan it that way? Did you plan it at all? Take control and get a clear perspective of your work: make a plan that works with a weekly review.

If you never stop to plan your time, you run the risk of worrying about the work you need to do in the future instead of concentrating on the work you need to now. Other people’s priorities will become your own and you will be constantly trying to catch up with yourself.

If this sounds like you, this simple tool is highly effective for getting you back in control.

Finding an hour every week to plan your time might seem difficult especially in hectic times. But when you think of all the energy, worry and time you will save if you regularly plan your week, it’s easy to see why it’s worthwhile.

Some people like to do it on Fridays and go home with a clear head for the weekend. Others prefer first thing on Monday morning. Either way, try putting an hour in your diary every week for your review, and don’t forget to let us know how it goes.

Give our daily review tool a try too, and come back next week for a tool to help you become the master of your inbox.
