Introducing our latest MVC winner and the theme for July
Doesn’t time fly when you’re having MVC fun?
Yes, would you believe it, It’s time to big up our Most Valued Connector again. This month’s theme was hometowns. We wanted to hear about people who took incredible pictures of the place they know and love. We were eager to see photographs, which really evoked the spirit of towns and cities far and wide. As ever, you guys and girls nominated some fantastic Lumia photographers. In fact, we had a grand total of 27 to choose from. However, there can only be one winner! So, please make some noise for this month’s MVC winner, Victor Ng Wai Loon!
If Victor looks familiar, that’s because we showcased some of his photos way back in February, when he was a Lumia Instagramer of the Week. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Victor is mad about Windows Phone and runs a Chinese language blog dedicated to it.

As you can see from the selection below, Victor does an amazing job of capturing the modern beauty of Kuala Lumpur. He’s also always happy to share his fab photos with us here at @Connects and his many followers on Instagram. All in all a worthy winner, we think. And what does he get as the MVC? His very own wireless photo printer, so he can share the best of his gallery in the real world as well as the online world. Not only is Victor our first MVC from Kuala Lumpur, he’s also our first from Malaysia. So far we’ve had winners from all around the world; France (twice), Belgium, Italy, India, South Africa, USA, Croatia, Hungary, Austria and now Malaysia. Instagramers that wow!
If you’re a regular reader of Conversations, you’ll know what huge fans we are of Instagram. To celebrate this photographic passion, and the ever-growing band of Lumia Instagramers, this month we want you to nominate Lumia, Asha and X Instagramers that impress you with every single picture they share. And what does the lucky winner get? Well, because we’ve gone Instagram crazy, we’ve got a selection of crazy Instagram prizes. Firstly, they’ll be chilling out on their very own Instagram cushion, featuring their favourite pic. Whilst lounging on the comfy cushion, they’ll be able to admire their Instagram magnets, and if that wasn’t enough, they’ll also get a mobile photography kit, which includes a satchel, lenses and a tripod. What’s more, they’ll have the chance to take over the official @Connects Instagram feed for an entire weekend and share their magic with our thousands of followers.
