Instagram your people pics to win a Lumia surprise pack

Whether August means more fun and holiday happiness, or the start of another exciting school or working year, it’s a month of big emotions for many of us.

And that’s exactly what we want to celebrate in our latest Instagram competition – human feelings. So far, we’ve seen an amazing array of shots of lush landscapes, critters and creatures, cool cities and shimmering skylines… last month was all about macros, and didn’t you dazzle us. We’re still going through the extraordinary entries in order to pick the cream of the crop. It won’t be long until we celebrate another winner, hang in there!

But July’s been and gone, so let’s live in the moment. We’re asking you, our super productive and totally talented Instagramers, to upload your very best People Photography shots for this month’s theme: #LumiaPeople. These can be carefully prepared portraits or candid, documentary-style shots you’ve snapped without your subject even knowing. The method’s up to you, all that matters is the way your end result conveys human emotion.

We want you to have a ton of fun with the theme, using it as the perfect excuse to connect with your family or make new friends… You never know, the subject of your candid pic could become a new best friend or even more! So throw caution to the wind, say hi to that beautiful stranger and make the world smile. With #LumiaPeople we don’t just aim to capture emotions but to provoke them too! The competition runs all the way until August 31st. As usual, you can use any type of smartphone and enter as many times as you like, as long as you tag your photos with #LumiaPeople.
