Stunning Skateboarding Time Collapse Lumia 930 video

Utilizing the superior video capture on the Lumia 930 and some clever techniques, celebrated filmmaker and photographer Cy Kuckenbaker created a “video that is both total fiction and completely real at the same time.”

Partnering with Vimeo and Microsoft Creative Lab, Cy’s latest project captured 15-year old pool skateboarder Cory Juneau.

What Cy created has to be seen to be believed.

How did he do it?

Well, the outcome is what’s called a time-collapse video.

Every Lumia 930 captured frame was separated from its background and then images were grouped together, resulting in more than 50,000 edits compiled into just 90 seconds.

How did Cy enjoy working with the Lumia 930?

“It was brilliant to work with Microsoft and use the Nokia Lumia 930 to capture all the raw angles and footage. OneDrive then allowed me to instantly organize, upload and share all the elements with each other, making collaborating really easy, especially all within such a small package.”
