10 Cleverest Lumia shots of the month

Whether you’ve got a Lumia 630, Lumia 930, Lumia 1020 or anything in between, you’re all taking spectacular photos–as our latest collection of Lumia-taken shots shows.

We start this month’s compilation with a photo by magushi72, taken using a Lumia 1020.

Fantastically frozen and terrifically timed, the water appears solid as it leaves the cup on its journey to the seemingly thirsty plant.

Dubai is a beautiful city not only by day, but also by night.

Fortunately, Mohammad Sabbagh had a Lumia 1020 to hand to capture this night time shot of the city lights reflecting off a body of water.

Sunset is always a perfect time of day to get creative and play with the light.

That’s precisely what og_bazi did. By leaping into the air between the camera (in this case a Lumia 1020) and the sun, he was able to capture this super silhouette.

The road can sometimes seem a long one, and this cinemagraph only strengthens that sentiment–shared by @DSantistebe.

What’s this strange forest of wispy-looking trees?

If you look closely, it’s actually the downy tufts of a dandelion. Nicely zoomed @debdenaro.

How to get a sense of movement in a still photo?

If it’s at night, you could adjust the shutter speed to allow more light to enter the camera sensor, resulting in some great light trails.

Thanks for sharing, lxmos–taken with a Lumia 930.

Nature is a force to be reckoned with. When lightning strikes, it’s swift, powerful and before you know it, gone.

Nate Logan‘s either got a very quick trigger finger, is just immensely lucky, or perhaps a bit of both to capture this lighting strike with a Lumia 1020.

Haven’t got the space for a real fireplace in your home? Don’t miss out on that warm, cozy feeling you get from watching the flames flickering in the hearth. Just watch this cinemagraph, by @batwench.

This double exposure of a giant hand reaching through the clouds by amustansir is very clever.

We’d all love to be sitting beside the sea, watching the waves lapping up against the rocks. However, in reality, we’re all sat at our desks getting on with the real world.

But take a moment to live that dream, just for a little bit, and watch this cinemagraph from @m_tarczynski.
