Color Pop is back

Creative Studio 6 delivered a whole raft of improvements, from a redesigned user interface, high-quality filters and non-destructive editing. However, one thing was missing … Color Pop.

The latest Lumia Creative Studio update (6.3) welcomes back the much sought-after feature that is Color Pop.

With Color Pop, you can be extra-creative with your photos to highlight specific colors in the shot, while removing others.

We’ve taken some photos using a Lumia 1020 and adding the Color Pop feature of Lumia Creative Studio:

Using Color Pop is easy and can be achieved in a couple of ways, but first, you’ll need to download the update.

Within your camera roll, select a photo followed by “edit” and then choose Lumia Creative Studio.

Alternatively, you’ll find Lumia Creative Studio in your apps list. All you need to do then is select the photo you wish to edit.

Tapping the three dots icon (…) will reveal the Color Pop feature.

From there, you can select the colors you wish to keep using the suggested color palette, or the dropper, paintbrush and eraser tools for manual edits.

For extra tweaks, you can still make use of filters, cropping, enhancing, and blur tools, just like in the previous update.

Are you a Color Pop fan? Share some of your wonderful colorful creations with us on social media using #LumiaCreativeStudio and #ColorPop.

Alternatively, we look forward to seeing them in the comments below.
