Is your Lumia your better half?
It’s official: There are more mobile devices than people in the world, according to GSMA Intelligence, a global body that represents mobile operators.
A recent survey states that most people check their mobile phones an average of 1,500 times a week. We can’t deny that many of us reach for our Lumia smartphones as soon as we wake up.
Checking e-mail, responding to Facebook messages, getting news updates and doing other everyday tasks is often done in bed or as we get readyfor the day. So the question that naturally comes to mind: Is your Lumia smartphone your better half?
Last week, we asked how you used your smartphone and your answers were surprisingly similar to 96 percent of decision makers who said that a smartphone was critical for them to do their job.
Kindle Research conducted the independent survey on behalf of Microsoft UK throughout September 2014 and asked 45 “decision makers” who use Lumia for work.
The participants were asked, “Since receiving your Lumia for business, have you ever used it for personal reasons, such as web browsing, messaging or entertainment?”
More than three-quarters of respondents—77 percent–said that they actively chose their Lumia as their personal device and use it for work and pleasure.
Declaring their office love for Lumia, 78 percent of respondents further said that they were “very likely” or “quite likely” to recommend a Lumia to a friend or colleague for personal use.
We don’t like to brag, but these numbers show that when people try Windows Phone, they generally come away very pleased with the design, feel and functionality of these smartphones.
