10 reasons why you should join an Expert Centre webinar

One of the things that make Expert Centre at Microsoft Devices special is the webinars.

Created and organized by Expert Centre professionals together with a wide network of specialists, they have been running since early 2013 and proven increasingly popular.

As part of our behind-the-scenes series, we spoke to Jutta Froberg, Project Manager at Microsoft Devices Customer Service and Support, to discover more about these detailed online tech sessions. Based on what she told us, we put together 10 compelling reasons to check one out yourself.

The feedback for the webinars has been overwhelmingly positive. “I love these sessions. That’s all. I love them. Thank you very much Nokia for it,” a happy customer wrote in the post-webinar feedback. According to recent research, an amazing 92% of participants have been satisfied with what they’ve learned. No wonder that attendance figures have risen steadily, up 32% from the second half of 2013 to the first half of 2014.

They cover all the key subjects

The webinars are carefully planned to cover all the most important aspects of business mobility, from security to mobile device and app management, email, communication and collaboration. What’s more, the subject matter is reviewed and updated whenever new features are introduced into devices.

There are webinars for the less techy of us, too

If you do not live and breathe IT but still want to get the most of your Lumia device, the “Get to know” webinars about new products are ideal for you. They are created in collaboration with Microsoft’s internal training organization so you’ll get inside information about what’s great about the devices for personal use, too.

You’ll get insights from the top of the industry

To bring truly expert-level information to its audience, Expert Centre organizes joint webinars with some of the biggest players in the Windows Phone solution ecosystem. So far, these have included AirWatch, Citrix and MobileIron as well as support engineers and other specialists from Microsoft locations across the globe.

They are products of true dedication

Putting together a specialist-level webinar takes time, and the people at Expert Centre are dedicated to put in the necessary work. The upcoming webinars are often planned for months on end. As Froberg says, “The end result that we deliver to the customer is just the tip of the iceberg… customers just don’t get to see the behind-the-scenes work that makes the webinars happen.”

You’ll be among the first to know

The most successful webinar to date, “Lumia with Windows Phone 8.1 in the enterprise,” was run very soon after the Windows Phone 8.1 update had been announced. Expert Centre collaborated with support engineers from Microsoft US to bring the latest information to participants while it was hot off the press.
