Draw and doodle on Skype for Windows Phone 8.1
We’ve all been in meetings and presentations that seem to go on forever. The situation gets worse when you’re on a conference call and can’t excuse yourself. However, on Skype for Windows Phone 8.1, you can express how you feel with other colleagues or friends with the app’s new doodle feature.
What better way to express yourself on Skype than to share exactly what’s going on in your head with something like this?
Unleash the artist in you: Skype now lets you draw or make fancy sketches thanks to this latest feature, which has been released for Windows Phone before anywhere else. Yay!
Getting started is easy. Tap and select the contact you want to share your drawing or doodle with and tap the ellipsis (…) icon. You will find the “share drawing” option at the bottom. After you have selected this, you will be greeted with a drawing screen like this.
Draw, sketch or doodle your thoughts or feelings while taking a Skype call. At the office, be cautious to switch to voice-call mode so others can’t see your creative genius at work.
If you are re-decorating your room but are unsure if the colored rug will look good or not, share your suggestion during a call. What’s more, you can even write on the screen, add a personal touch to photos or include a map location and comments.
I did that here to guide a friend to my location.
You can have as many shots as you want and if you are not happy with the results just tap the more icon to clear the canvas and start afresh. Once you are ready with your creation, tap “share” and your drawing will appear in the chat.
What do you think of this new feature? Have you tried it yet?
