Making business transactions easy with Windows

If you’re thinking of starting a business, there are plenty of obstacles that may make things difficult. After all, it’s no easy task. However, accepting payments needn’t be hard thanks to the Inner Fence Credit Card Terminal.

There are two types of Credit Card Terminal available: one for your Windows Phone, and one for your Windows 8 PC costing $29.99 and $59.99 respectively.

Which version you need depends entirely on the type of business you’re running.

For example:

If you manage a small shop and customers will be making most of their transactions at a conventional counter environment, then you may opt for the Credit Card Terminal for Windows 8 PCs.

The USB Credit Card Terminal can be plugged into your PC, laptop, or tablet – such as the Surface Pro 3 – turning it into a point-of-sale system.

Alternatively, if you’re out and about making house calls or working at different locations armed with your trusty Lumia 830, or any Lumia with Windows Phone 8, the Credit Card Terminal for Windows Phone 8 is ideal.

No matter which option you choose, you’ll need an app to make it work. For that, download the Credit Card Terminal for Windows or for Windows Phone.

Once installed, you can swipe or manually enter your customer’s credit card details, accept tips, capture signatures, collect sales tax, and use the on-screen dashboards and graphs for analytic purposes.

If you’re on the move a lot, there’s even a map feature that shows you where the transaction took place.

Fear not: Credit Card Terminal encrypts transaction data during your sale and destroys sensitive card information so it’s not stored in your system.

While the Credit Card Terminal apps are free to download, you need an Inner Fence account to get started as they’ll be handling all the transactions. More info on that is here.

If you’re a new merchant, Inner Fence will send you a free credit card reader when you sign up. Otherwise, you can purchase the listed items at the top of this page.

Are you using these Credit Card Terminals for either (or both) Windows or Windows Phone in your business? Do let us know below.
