Video: Getting stuff done the Stephen Alvarez way

We’ve come to know Stephen Alvarez for his ability to take any of our innovative Lumia smartphones and show us what’s possible in mobile photography. But he is also exploring how technology can help him reinvent his work life from top to bottom.

Stephen Alvarez is a National Geographic photographer and a journalist. He travels a lot. He spends a lot of time researching and planning assignments. He keeps a travel journal. He makes images.

On his assignments to shoot some of the Natural Wonders of the World, not only has he left his DSLR camera home to make pictures with the Lumia phones instead, but recently he has also discovered how our technology and services, like OneNote and OneDrive, can help him be more productive and get stuff done on the go. Goodbye Moleskine!

For us, productivity means that we’re putting you (not devices) in the center, giving you the best possible tools to make things, and to make things happen anywhere, anytime and on any device.

For Stephen Alvarez, productivity is about having the right tools at the right time that help him focus on making pictures. It’s about the ability to easily plan, create, co-create, share and sync with different people in different cities when he is building the assignments. It’s about having the camera with him when the image happens.

What does it mean to you to be productive? How is our technology and services helping you get stuff done?
