The app offers standard photo filters and sharing options along with a seamless user experience and a friendly interface. The app’s smooth scrolling feature lets you easily view all the images from your friends or followers, leave a comment or even tag them as a “favorite.”

Schedule the time to start and stop recording and even select the resolution you want the image to be recorded in. Once complete, the photos get compiled into a video and you’re greeted with some great time-lapse images.

If you don’t like the default layouts of a collage, you can move them around and adjust the sizes of the images. Once your collage is ready, you can also share them online or save them in high-quality mode so you can print them out.

Highlighted by reader Aakash006Sharma, Flashlite uses your Lumia camera’s powerful LED flash as a flashlight with adjustable frequency via a simple tap or shake of your Lumia. Additional features include a compass and an SOS mode. Adjust the settings if you want to make the app run under lock-screen, or select the camera button to turn on/off.

Tubecast(free)

Catching your favorite funny videos just got easier. As suggested by reader Chay, Tubecast is a Youtube client that lets you view Youtube videos in high definition, high quality or standard quality resolution.

You can pause and resume your videos or opt to playthe sound of a video if your Lumia gets auto-locked. Login to your Youtube account and use all the features offered there (subscribe, watch later, history, my videos, subscribers etc.) with this app. You can also cast your videos on your Xbox.

Reader bluechrism highlighted Shoppers Calculator, which tracks everything you buy and gives you the final total the next time you go on a shopping frenzy.  With its calculator-like look and feel, this app comes complete with eight types of discounts and sales tax rates. It’s also easy to add labels to items you’ve purchased.  You can even change the quantity of an item or set a daily budget if you tend to go overboard the minute you see the words “sale” or “discount.”
