Lumia Instagramer of the Month: Dishant Kalthiya
It’s the end of another month, which means it’s time reveal your Instagramer of the Month.
After an incredible frenzy of voting, culminating in the most popular Lumia Conversations poll ever, with nearly 6500 of you sharing your opinions, it time to announce the winner. Drum roll please….(okay, we know you’ve already seen the winner in the title, but let’s imagine a drum roll anyway)
After a very close race, the winner of our second Instagramer of the Month contest is Dishant Kalthiya. Dishant is a 20 year old civil engineering student from Gujarat, India and we think he is a mighty fine choice indeed. He says that his love for photography started 9 months ago when he first got his Lumia and joined Instagram and the #NBAN family on facebook, and boy are we glad he did.
Taking inspiration from famed photographer Elliott Erwitt, Dishant agrees with Erwitt that “photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place”. Which Lumia do you have and what do you like most about it?
Currently I am using Nokia Lumia 720. What I like most about my Lumia is its design and manual settings, especially manual focus.
Where do you shoot most of your photos and what sort of photos do you like to take best?
I shoot any place, any time. I have always been a nature lover, and another sort of pictures I enjoy are indoors and macros.
What are your top tips for taking Instagram photos on your Lumia?
Firstly just capture everything around you using manual settings and different angles to find the perfect frame. Second thing is hold your Lumia stable while taking photos. And last one is editing. Even ordinary pictures surprise me after editing.
Which five Lumia instagramers do you recommend everyone to follow?
This is very tough question because there are lot of great people (Ana Puzar, kaludov, john koliogiannis, shubham Kumar, Marcelo) But here are my favourite top five.
What are your top 10 fav Lumia photos you’ve shared on Instagram?
