How are you changing the workplace? Lumia and the Millennial Generation

Today’s always-on, 24/7 world mean that we need to be connected and able to work whether we’re in our office, at the local coffeehouse, on the train, or seated at our dining table.

And perhaps more than most, Millennials know their Lumia smartphones and other mobile devices and tools help them be productive and connected no matter where they are.

If you were born after 1980, you’re part of this generation, and by 2020, you’ll make up more than 50 percent of the workforce.

The most recent episode of Microsoft’s “Modern Workplace,” a new monthly online series that explores the intersection between technology and business, focused on how millennials are changing the workplace.

Some key features of the Millennial Generation: They want their jobs to be meaningful, they want to collaborate in a variety of ways, and they want flexible, productivity and communication tools for their work and personal lives.

Those tools include mobile devices and software such as Office 365, which you can access of course, through your Lumia.

Here’s the full 30-minute episode.

The online episode was hosted by Microsoft’s Alex Bradley and featured Ben Rattray, founder and CEO of Change.org, Asha Sharma, chief marketing officer for Porch.com, and David Burstein, author of “Fast Future: How the Millennial Generation is Shaping Our World.”
