Hone your tech skills at the Microsoft Virtual Academy

Whether you’re an IT pro, an experienced app or game developer, or a college student, you can hone your mobile-tech skills via “Know It. Prove It”–Microsoft Virtual Academy’s new month-long challenge.

Here’s your chance to make February the month you perfect your app and game-development chops. The Microsoft Virtual Academy offers eight learning challenges on the topic of your choice, from game and mobile development to identity and access management.

Each challenge is packed with 28 days of learning and each training module takes about an hour to complete, including video tutorials and assessments.

App and game development

In game development, you’ll learn to use tools such as Construct 2, a powerful HTML5 game creator, and the cross-platform GameMaker to develop all sorts of games, from perpetual-runner to word and puzzle games. In addition you’ll learn to use the Unity game-engine to develop 2D and 3D games.

In MVA’s mobile-development challenge, you’ll hone your C# and XAML skills as well as learn how to take your app cross-platform with Xamarin.

Besides fine-tuning your skills, the Microsoft Virtual Academy connects you to a global community of like-minded individuals.

After you sign in and complete your profile, you can share your experiences with other members of the “Know It. Prove It” community, earn badges, and compete against other learning challenges.
