American sports fans: Get the WatchESPN app for Windows Phone
The new WatchESPN app gives live, wall-to-wall sports coverage so you’ll always keep up-to-date on your favorite games, from college hoops to the Grand Slams.
If you live in the United States, you know that television network ESPN rules supreme in sports coverage, from American-centric activities such as basketball and baseball to those with more of an international flair, such as tennis, soccer, and rugby.
Now you can watch your favorite games live right from your Lumia.
ESPN recently launched its free WatchESPN app, a clean, comprehensive app that lets you tune into nine ESPN channels including ESPNU and the Spanish-language ESPN Deportes.
Tune into popular sports-analysis shows such as “SportsCenter” ‘and Crunchtime” as well as live telecasts including the English League Championships and the Rio Open. Don’t have time to watch games live? You can also view clips of the latest news and sports highlight on demand, when it’s convenient for you.
Please note that while the app is free, you need to sign in via your cable provider such as Time Warner Cable, Comcast XFINITY, Cox and DISH to unlock all of the app’s goodies.
WatchESPN is available only in the U.S., but you can tune into live and on-demand sports coverage if you live in the UK via the free Sky Sports app for Windows Phone.
