Putting the Lumia 830 camera to the test: Chinese New Year Lantern Festival

On March 5, thousands of lanterns were sent adrift into the night sky in celebration of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Goat.

Two popular bloggers in Taiwan, Dacota and Jimmy, recently tested the photographic capabilities of the Lumia 830‘s 10-megapixel camera–in particular, how well it fared under low-light conditions.

Dacota traveled to the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival to enjoy and capture the event.

“It is not easy to capture moving objects such as sky lantern at night by using a DSLR camera, but it is surprisingly easy for me to use Lumia 830 to take great images even in low-light!”

Jimmy on the other hand traveled to the Yuejin Lantern Festival and captured the events around the Yuejin Harbor.

“The OIS and low-light shooting ability is so incredible that Lumia 830 can even capture the lantern on the river!”

Did you celebrate the Chinese New Year and capture it on your Lumia?
