Available today: Watch all six Star Wars films on Windows Phone

Get the most iconic movie collection ever: now on Digital HD for the first time, the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection can be enjoyed on Xbox Video video.

The first Star Wars film in more than a decade, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” opens worldwide on December 18. To help celebrate, all six existing Star Wars films can now be purchased on Xbox Video.

You can watch every film in the Star Wars saga on the screen of your choosing.

So whether you want to watch on a big flat-screen TV with your family and a bowl of popcorn or on your Lumia with Windows Phone 8.1, the choice is yours!

Please note that to access the films on your Lumia or other Windows Phone, first purchase the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection on Xbox Video. You can do this on xboxvideo.com, the Video app on Windows 8/8.1/RT, Xbox One, or Xbox 360.

You can then view the films on your smartphone via the free Video app.

The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection is available in the U.S., Canada, the UK and Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. It will also be available in Japan starting June 1.

Microsoft is offering two exclusive incentives for fans who purchase the six-film bundle on Xbox Video.

First, they will receive everyone’s favorite scrappy astromech droid, R2-D2, as an Xbox Live avatar companion that flashes characteristics of classic R2-D2 from “A New Hope.”

Also, they will receive the action-packed Star Wars Pinball Pack for the free-to-play game Pinball FX 2, for Xbox One or Xbox 360.

Star Wars Day

Make it a party! Get your copy of the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection and invite friends and family over to watch one or several films on May the 4th, “Star Wars Day.” Lightsabers optional.

The collection, which includes never-before-seen bonus features, is available in high definition in North America. In countries outside the U.S. and Canada, the collection is available in standard definition as well.

The Star Wars Digital Movie collection has a current retail price of $89 USD; you can also buy films separately for $19.99 USD each.

May the Force be with you!
