Crafted with the utmost care, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM is a 5-inch high-def-viewing, 8-megapixel-shooting, dual-SIM-toting smartphone.
At less than $150 USD*, the new Lumia 540 Dual SIM belies its price tag. It’s packed with hardware, software and services to help you achieve more while at work or play.
“The Lumia team is passionate about product-making, creating every smartphone with a distinct design personality within a coherent design approach,” said Iain Pottie, senior design manager of industrial design and mechanics at Microsoft.
“Our customers are the source of so much inspiration, but we know they have different needs and budgets, so we always want to provide choice. That’s why today we’re introducing the new Lumia 540 Dual SIM.”
A great choice for those looking for their first serious smartphone, the perfectly sized 5-inch HD display is great for watching your favorite shows via apps such as Netflix, playing addictive games such as Minecraft: Pocket Edition, or completing homework assignments with built-in Microsoft services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
For crystal clear face-to-face time, turn your voice call into a video call by taking advantage of the fully integrated Skype and the front-facing 5-megapixel, wide-angle camera, which also works with the pre-loaded Lumia Selfie app to take personal portraits that can be shared with your friends.
Flip over the Lumia 540 and you’ll find a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with LED flash to capture what’s important to you, night or day.
To store your photos and files, the Lumia 540 comes with 8GB** of on-board memory and support for a 128GB MicroSD card.
Of course, you’ll get an additional 15GB of free OneDrive storage and a further 15GB when you activate the “auto-upload” photo feature within the camera settings.
Being a Smart Dual SIM smartphone, you can create unique profiles for each SIM card so you always know who’s calling, regardless of which number they’ve dialed. Thanks to the call-forwarding feature, you can stay constantly connected, too.
Available in glossy layered cyan, orange, white and matte black, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM will start rolling out in early May to the IMEA and APAC regions, and to Italy with an RRP of $149 USD*.
