Hola from Mexico! I am here with the National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez and his assistant John Burcham shooting the next installment of our Seven Natural Wonders of the World assignment, using Lumia devices.
Mexico is one of the most volcanically active countries in the world and home for one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Paricutin volcano, located some 320km west of Mexico City.
Stephen Alvarez will be using the affordable yet impressive Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL devices to shoot the local culture and the volcanos that have, and continue, to shape the landscape of Mexico and the lives of the people that live here.
Here are some highlights from the journey so far.
Last night’s frantic gear reorganization in @salvarezphoto Seattle hotel room. @burchamphoto and I are headed to Mexico to photograph Volcanoes for Microsoft. It’s part of the 7 wonders of the world that I’ve been shooting for them. Follow our adventures here as they unfold. This trip we are shooting with the #Lumia640xl and #lumia640 but also using the #microsoftband and #microsoftsurfacepro3 I can’t wait to get to Mexico city! @natgeocreative
