Fun Run 2 brings the pain to Lumia

No amount of force is excessive in this new game for Windows Phone that’s as gory as it is cute.

Despite its cute and cuddly visuals, Fun Run 2–new to the Windows Phone store as a free download–is not a game for kids.

But if you’re an adult who can handle a little blood and gore in your furry animal antics, this is the racing game for you.

Fun Run 2 takes Lumia to new limits of real-time multiplayer havoc. Play with up to four other players simultaneously to win the world’s weirdest foot race by any means necessary.

Take control of adorable but savage critters like teddy bears and bunnies to smash the competition as you run. Nothing is off limits as you behead, blow up, and electrocute your enemies.

If you don’t feel like battling real people, you can play against the computer in practice mode. Your score won’t contribute to your online rating, but it’s a good to way to prepare for multiplayer madness.

True competitors can join leagues and duke it out with other Fun Runners for rewards. As your online ranking gets higher, you’ll compete against better players and earn better in-game prizes.

The daily challenges are why I keep coming back for more. Every day, you’re tasked with different goals, such as winning 10 games in a row, to win awards.

These daily challenges are in addition to achievements that can be unlocked by completing basic tasks. For example, you’ll be rewarded for doing things such as using 10 lightning kills in a single game or dying a total of 100 times. (Yes, you can even be rewarded for failure.)
